Washington County Public Schools has had an excellent three quarters of the school year. Our students are working hard academically and there are lots of athletic and fine arts activities planned for April and May. We appreciate our parental support and realize that it is a team effort to provide children with an excellent educational experience. As we move into the final weeks, I encourage all parents to help us keep your students focused and on task to do their best on the Georgia Milestone Assessments and End of Grade/Course tests. Get plenty of rest  each night and eat a nutritious breakfast in the school cafeteria each morning before testing. Check the school calendars online to keep up with the latest events and deadlines. Hawks are wise and winners!

Important Note to Parents About Bus Changes

Dear Parents,

The District reviews procedures during the summer to improve safety measures and service to students.  After our summer review, we determined that “bus changes” should be improved in order to ensure the safety of students.  In order to ensure that your child arrives to the location that you have requested, we will require a note from the child’s guardian or guardian designee.  No phone calls will be taken for bus changes.

If you need to make a bus change during the day, the guardian or a designee of the guardian (person must be listed on the student’s sign-out list), must come to the school to complete a bus pass. This change will help us provide a safe environment for our children.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
